Bookmark Frame · Slim Vertical

A narrow upright frame, made for the things that are tall and thin and never fit anything else — a bookmark, a pressed stem, a strip of photobooth pictures, a length of calligraphy, a festival wristband.

Most frames force you to mount a long thin object in the middle of a wide mat, where it looks lost. This one is the right shape to begin with.

What it suits

• Photobooth strips — the four-shot kind fits almost exactly
• Bookmarks and paper ephemera
• Single pressed stems — lavender, wheat, a fern frond
• Vertical calligraphy and ink work
• Ticket stubs and wristbands from a night worth keeping

Details

• Solid black walnut or teak
• Two sizes: 2.5 × 7 in and 3 × 8.5 in
• Acid-free mat included
• Clear acrylic face
• Stands upright on a shelf, or hangs

Two or three of these in a row, at slightly different heights, is a good way to fill the awkward narrow wall beside a doorway.
